I was a little skeptical when I first started reading this book, it took a little while for it to start picking up, there was so much detail that the author had to get across. I can honestly say that once this book started picking up I was unable to put it down. This book turned into a fast paced page turner leaving you on the edge of your seat in the end! I love the concept of this book, it is different from anything else I have previously read. I am grateful I was given the opportunity to read this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a paranormal young adult book with a twist thrown in. I for one can’t wait for the next installment and hope it comes out sooner rather than later!!

I received an ARC for this book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. What a love story. Declan and Holly are the perfect couple. At least, they were, until a misunderstanding tore them apart. What I love about this story is that it’s so normal. It’s so plausible, it’s so… human. D. Kelly has a habit of grabbing emotions and pulling on the strings as far as they will go, but it’s worth every tug, every word and every page. Watching all of the characters interact in this story, it’s something that could be happening to you, to your best friend, your next door neighbor. The story is so relatable, everyone has their flaws, their failures and their triumphs. There’s no bad guy or good guy, there’s just life and the crazy things that could happen or have happened to all of us. All of the emotions we feel, this story touches them all in a way that is seamless and captivating. D. Kelly has truly created a work of art with The Evolution of Us and is quickly cementing herself as one of my favorite authors. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review:
This book brings us into the world of Mia and her struggle with wanting to find her true mate. Thinking she has found him she gives him a love potion to try and move things along. Little does she know she is about to run into her real true mate at her sisters upcoming wedding! This book is filled with so many twists and turns, some steamy scenes, and some “oh my that really happened” kind of moments! I for one cannot wait for the next installment and can’t wait to see what happens in the books to come! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, grabs you and doesn’t let you go until your done kind of book! This book is a loose play on the classic Beauty and The Beast. You are brought into the world of Isabelle aka Belle or Izzy. This book has a father that is a little nutty, a daughter who wants to help protect her father from what she believes is a beast(s), a bad guy with the last name Gastone, with many paranormal aspects thrown in there, along with multiple hot guys, with a steamy scene ( or two). I really enjoyed this book, I love the creativity of the author and how she loosely played off of Beauty and the Beast but you still know what she is doing! This book was fast paced, had so many twists and turns, and was just an all-around great read! I am interested to see what the other books in the series will bring and can’t wait to see whose world we will be thrown into next. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a different twist on a classic fairy tale in the Reverse Harem genre. This book is a standalone it is part of a series but it isn’t left in a cliff hanger. Below are a copy of disclaimers from the author: “The Poison Court Saga is a collection of standalone fairy tale retellings with a paranormal reverse harem twist and a HEA. The novels are set in the Wicked Witch universe, so although each Poison Courts novel is a standalone story you might get to catch up with your favorite (or most hated) characters in the Wicked Witch series!”
“These stories are intended for a NA (new adult) and adult audience and are not YA or super-clean reads. The heroines are not shrinking violets or delicate flowers. There will be a touch of steam, a smattering of salty language, a heap of fast-paced action, and more hot males than the fairy godmother could handle.” I received an ARC for this book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. The Lawyer and the Tramp was difficult for me in the beginning. I’m not really sure why. The author is a great writer, but something about it just dragged a bit in the beginning, but it picked up eventually and I was able to finish it with no other hiccups. Eva and Carmine are a turbulent pair, but one that works better together than apart. The dealings of the Chicago Syndicate are secretive and deadly. Eva, being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people, is thrust into the center of a web while the poisonous spiders inch closer and closer. I really felt bad for Eva through this entire thing, because I felt like anything that could go wrong for her would and did go wrong. This ended up being a pretty great read, a little out of my norm, but I was glad I decided to read it. I look forward to seeing what else Soraya Naomi has to offer!
I received an ARC for this book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. Kimberly Loth continues to amaze me with her wide range of writing niches. She doesn’t stick to one thing, but instead mixes it up and we never know what to expect next. The Smoking Lamp brings us into the world of genies and what a thrilling spin it is to read. She has given us a refreshing take to the genie genre. Liv and Gabe are two great characters and the tension between them is palpable. The plot moves well and I didn’t feel as though there were any hiccups. The characters are well developed and she has created an amazing main character in Liv. It was easy to place myself in the middle of the action and watch everything unfold as though it was a movie. There is so much to this series with only one book and that can be built on in the future. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book because man, Kimberly Loth knows how to hit us right in the feels. Right. In. The. Feels. “I exhaled, disappointed, and yet excited. This anticipation, this thrill of the wait, was exhilarating. Eventually I would secure that kiss, but in some ways, I hoped we had a few more interruptions.”
I received an ARC for the book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. Wow. What a fast paced, sexually charged, action packed novella. I loved this story from start to finish and I wish there was more! I loved the dynamic of Reeve and Aster. They were two well written characters, both with their flaws and strong points. Their family dynamic was relatable and it was nice to see them bond. There were a few twists that I did not expect and they helped keep me on the edge of my seat throughout the course of the story. This was definitely a plot line that could have been developed into a full length novel, or even a series because I would definitely read the before and after happenings in the book. Actually, I’m still craving to know the after. After only the second story I’ve read in this small little town, I’m beginning to fall more and more in love with Havenwood Falls and all it’s residents. I will also be looking into EJ Fechenda more after this.
I received an ARC for the book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. If you minus the whole paranormal element thing, this story is so relatable. Sherry could be any of us. She’s smart, successful, yet sometimes unsure of herself. She really found herself in this story and I think that’s what I liked most about it. The story seemed a bit rushed, but well fleshed out despite being a novella. The story definitely had the potential to be a full fledged novel and I kind of wish it was. I felt myself wanting more of Sherry, of Rusty and even of Brad. All of the characters were great, in both good and bad ways, in their own right. The paranormal element that both Rusty and the town of Havenwood Falls has to offer is an added bonus to the plot. Susan is a great writer and I will definitely be picking up more of her work in the future to see what else she has to offer.
Let me start by saying WOW! I loved this book from start to finish! I couldn’t stop reading! I truly loved everything about this book and while it didn’t leave in a cliffhanger I am defiantly suffering a book hang over!
I have to say one of my favorite things about this book is getting small glimpses from other people’s point of views, and that they randomly pop up offering you just a little more insight! This book brings us into the world of Kit and some special guys! We learn so much about Kit and her upbringings, along with some nifty powers she has. You are brought on a roller coaster of emotions, left with so many questions, and wanting so much more of Kit and the guys by the time the book is finished! Although the next book is coming out in just a few short months, you will still be begging the author to for more! I received an ARC for the book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. *Le sigh* Is anyone else a sucker for hockey romance? I am and I’ve confirmed it even more with Perfect Love. There’s just something raw and sexy about hockey players and it definitely carries on with Mr. Cash Brooks. Perfect Love picks up right where Perfect Sense left off and man, if this relationship didn’t give me heart palpitations, I don’t know what. It was nice to see a set of characters who weren’t perfect, they knew they each had flaws and they were trying to work through them. The dual perspective was an amazing addition to this book, as it was great to see what Cash was thinking or feeling at certain times. The plot touched on a range of emotions from happiness to heartbreak, betrayal to bonding, it was a perfect mix. The plot moved easily and the timeline was pretty realistic. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and the perfect wrap up. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I would definitely recommend to fans of hockey and romance lovers alike.
