I received an ARC for the book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. If you minus the whole paranormal element thing, this story is so relatable. Sherry could be any of us. She’s smart, successful, yet sometimes unsure of herself. She really found herself in this story and I think that’s what I liked most about it. The story seemed a bit rushed, but well fleshed out despite being a novella. The story definitely had the potential to be a full fledged novel and I kind of wish it was. I felt myself wanting more of Sherry, of Rusty and even of Brad. All of the characters were great, in both good and bad ways, in their own right. The paranormal element that both Rusty and the town of Havenwood Falls has to offer is an added bonus to the plot. Susan is a great writer and I will definitely be picking up more of her work in the future to see what else she has to offer.

Let me start by saying WOW! I loved this book from start to finish! I couldn’t stop reading! I truly loved everything about this book and while it didn’t leave in a cliffhanger I am defiantly suffering a book hang over!
I have to say one of my favorite things about this book is getting small glimpses from other people’s point of views, and that they randomly pop up offering you just a little more insight! This book brings us into the world of Kit and some special guys! We learn so much about Kit and her upbringings, along with some nifty powers she has. You are brought on a roller coaster of emotions, left with so many questions, and wanting so much more of Kit and the guys by the time the book is finished! Although the next book is coming out in just a few short months, you will still be begging the author to for more! I received an ARC for the book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. *Le sigh* Is anyone else a sucker for hockey romance? I am and I’ve confirmed it even more with Perfect Love. There’s just something raw and sexy about hockey players and it definitely carries on with Mr. Cash Brooks. Perfect Love picks up right where Perfect Sense left off and man, if this relationship didn’t give me heart palpitations, I don’t know what. It was nice to see a set of characters who weren’t perfect, they knew they each had flaws and they were trying to work through them. The dual perspective was an amazing addition to this book, as it was great to see what Cash was thinking or feeling at certain times. The plot touched on a range of emotions from happiness to heartbreak, betrayal to bonding, it was a perfect mix. The plot moved easily and the timeline was pretty realistic. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and the perfect wrap up. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I would definitely recommend to fans of hockey and romance lovers alike.
I received an ARC for this book and voluntarily read and reviewed it. Danielle Rose has a nice short horror story on her hands. It starts off creepy and ends even creepier, leaving the reader wanting more. It was a well written story, engaging the reader with backstory and details. The only complain I had was the fact that for such a short story, it was predictable for me. I found myself working out how it ended before I even got there. That was a bit of a let down, especially for such a short piece of work. I felt as though because it was so short, it should have been less predictable and packed more of a surprise punch. But overall, the plot idea was great, the characters great and there was nothing that dragged the story or made me want to stop reading. If you're looking for a creepy, short and one off read, you should definitely pick this one up.
I love the book that Belle Brooks has written. This book grabbed me from page one and wouldn't let me put it down! This book picks up where the first book left off and just continues. We learn more about Reid, his children, and some more about Morgan. We are thrown into their lives and we are brought on an emotional roller coaster with both Reid and Morgan. We are left on the edge of our seats the whole time in suspense.
This book is fast paced, with multiple twists and turns, and leaving you left with so many questions. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and is alright with cliffhanger endings! I for one am impatiently waiting for the next book to come out! This book picks up right where Star Witch leaves off. We are again thrown into Ivy’s world. In this book Ivy learns that she can speak to spirits, and that she is the only person around who can do so. While speaking to the spirits they give her a little tid bit of information leading them to go on a chase for a serial killer that has killed a coven of witches. In what seems to be true Helen Harper fashion this book has unexpected twists and turns. She tosses in so many surprises and definitely throws you for a loop! I am extremely upset that this series is finished. I want so much more of Ivy, Winter, and even Brutus. I am seriously hoping this series gets some sort of spin off or some short stories in the future! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants something funny, fast paced, draws you in, with twists and turns, and amazing surprises! I for one am very happy I started this series! Star Witch by Helen Harper picks up where Slouch Witch leaves off. We are thrown back into Ivy’s world, as well as getting some more of Winter and of course Brutus! This book brings us to the set of Enchantment where we learn that one of the costars has died! This book focuses on what Ivy is going through as a runner trying to get some inside information on what is happening and if more deaths will occur.
This book grabbed me from page one not allowing me to put it down! This book had many twists and turns and leaves you guessing until the end! The surprises that are tossed at us readers are amazing and leave you begging for more!! Helen Harper has brought us into a world that has magic. I love that magic isn't hidden from the population and not everyone has magic! If you have magic however you usually report to the Order, most of the time.
This book follows the life of Ivy a witch that gets by just doing what she has to do. She doesn't go out of her way to do anything more and she definitely doesn't do things the correct way if it means taking more time! Ivy is house sitting for her witch friend that lives in her building when her life is turned upside down. She is mistaken for her friend and accidentally bonded to the Raphael Winter a second level witch who has a hard time working with others. This book follows an investigation that Ivy and Winter are on together. We get to see Ivy grow as a character as well as maybe a new love interest?? I can honestly say that i was unable to put this book down once I started reading! I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a funny read, sometimes serious, page turning read! |
