Where to start with the Veil Diaries book 1 Trying to live with the Dead by B.L. Brunnemer! From page one I was sucked into the world of Alexis Delaney and I have not been able to leave! This book is fast paced, extremely descriptive, and I feel such a fresh take on a paranormal series!

Alexis / Lexie is your average teenager… kind of. Lexie can see and talk to the dead.

Lexie has just moved in with her uncle and cousin, and is starting at yet another new school. On the first day of school she meets five good looking guys who essentially adopt her into their group. You quickly fall in love with Lexie and all of the guys, the dynamic they create with each other, and how much they genuinely want to stay in Lexie’s life.

This book is an absolute must read! It is a page turner, nail bitter, edge of your seat book that leaves you begging for more!

“ Zeke: Are you okay?
Alexis: I’m Alive
Zeke: Some days alive is the best you get. But there’s only tomorrow.”

Review: Half -Blood Descendant by Natasha Brown

Half- Blood Descendant by Natasha Brown was a fantastic start to her new series. This book brings us into the world of Jax a shifter who has no idea he's not the only shifter around. Jax is a drifter and moves from place to place often. He finds himself Colorado parking his camper on his land ladys land and working at her mechanics shop. One night after shifting and going for a run he heads back to his place to find KT his landlady being bit in the neck by a man.
From this point on Jax’s world changes. He is thrown into a supernatural community defending himself against not being the one to harm KT. During this time Jax meets Aerilyn. The pretty daughter to the societies leader. Together Jax and Aerilyn work together to help clear Jax’s name and teach him about their world.
This book is fast paced and is well developed. I love the world and the characters the author has created. This book left me quickly turning the page to see what would happen next. It had so many things going on, questions left unanswered and love stories that need to be finished. I for one cant wait for the next installment.

Review:House of Darken by

“I’m on to you, buddy. You’re the suave one. Marsil is the nice one. Lexen is the—” “Asshole,” the man in question interrupted me. I hadn’t even realized he had stopped and was waiting for us by the front door. “I’m the asshole.”

House of Darken By Jaymin Eve was an amazing start to an interesting series! I have to say i was 100 percent pulled in by the front cover and the tagline of “Rule #1: Dont cross their side of the street.” This book follows Emma on her journey with her guardians. They get the chance to move to a new town in Oregon called Astoria, once they are there and settled her guardians go out on one of their paranormal hunts, when they should have returned and didn't show up Emma took matters into her own hands, and broke Rule number 1 by crossing the street!

This book is fast paced and well thought out. This book has so many twists and turns and leaves you on the edge of your seat until the last page. I for one can’t wait to see where the author goes with this series and see how it all ties together at the end.

This book is a must read if you are looking for a fast paced new Young adult series!

I was a bit of a cover snob; the “not judging a book by its cover” thing was not something I’d ever been good at.

The Witch’s Betrayal by Crystal Ash is the 3rd book in the Unholy Trinity. This book picks up right where the second one left off. Throughout this book we get to learn more about Deja’s previous lives, how she became who she is now, and why it took her so long to come back this time.  Deja is also working on getting a better grip on her magic, along with training with the arrogant, cocky Seth to learn Shadow Magic.

This book has many twists and turns, and some pretty big surprises. It left me turning the page again and again in anticipation of what was going to happen next. I personally am excited for the next installment and am intrigued on where the story will go next. I also hope we get to see more of Seth! As much as I love Deja’s guys I am really starting to like Seth, and hope there might be a little more there!

Tate James has outdone herself again with this next installment in to the Kit Davenport series! The Crows Murder picks up right where the last book left off. Starting with a kidnapping and turning into so much more. Kit has to help one of her guys discover their powers taking them across the world to uncover some unanswered questions.

This book brings us on a journey with so many ups and downs , so many emotions( tears, laughing, and yelling to name a few on my end), heartbreaks, plenty of oh my god moments, and some pretty steamy scenes as well. There is so much packed into this book and the emotions are definitely running high and you can't put this one down until it is finished.

If you've read any of the other Kit Davenport books this one is a must! If you haven’t started the series what are you waiting for!
