"It’s not something I wanted, but it’s what I am. I’m sick and tired of people hurting my friends and family to take this away from me."
I received an ARC copy of this book and voluntary read and reviewed it:
This is the second installment in Eliza Nolan’s The Phoenix series. This book grabbed me from the first chapter and I again was unable to put it down just like the first book! This time we are brought to a different country in search for Julia’s mom. We are told that she is alive and that Julia can help save her. While in Istanbul Julia meets some of her family members she doesn’t know she had, learns more about the Phoenix, and has a new guy come into the picture!
Julia embarks on a crazy adventure, learns so many new things, and at the same time discovers a huge betrayal. I love how Eliza brings you into the world of Julia, how it is present day, and to so many others it is just a normal life where Julia is discovering she has these new powers and is meant to amount to so much more than she could’ve ever imagined.
I have to say my favorite part of this book are the dreams I love how the vaguely give you information, at the same time break the book up and made me read that much faster.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys young adult paranormal books! If you do decide to pick it up I would love to know if you’re team Keles or team Graham??
