Misty Hayes has hit a home run! This is a vampire novel unlike any vampire novel you've read before. Hayes outdoes herself in every aspect of writing this book. For a debut novel, Misty Hayes has set the bar high. I fully enjoyed this book from cover to cover. I never put it down! Misty has created main characters that are human, that are relatable, that could be you or your neighbor. Yet she takes us on an adventure that is unique and unlike anything I've read in the vampire genre before. This refreshing take keeps the pages turning and the reader wanting more and more! The development that both the characters and the plot takes as it moves forward is believable and realistic. Hayes use of description is on point, creating enough for the reader to visualize and picture themselves among the action, but leaving enough to the imagination that it does not slow or bog down the process of the story. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. I seriously recommend dropping what you're doing and clicking the picture of the cover up there and getting your hands on the next book you're going to fall in love with. I did!

Let's begin! Have you read Forgotten Kingdom yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Go one click that thing now! The cover image above will take you to Amazon so you can do your thing. I'll wait...
First of all, what a great expansion to a universe! Stephany Wallace ties in Forgotten Kingdom with her Ancient Magic Series seamlessly. You don't need to have read the previous series, but it's a great start to become even more completely engrossed in this world she has created. If you miss Cyn and Bri, Forgotten Kingdom will give you a little touch of them that will have you smiling. Forgotten Kingdom introduces us to a new set of characters (yummy ones at that. Give me a Gaerrath brother, any of them, really), a new adventure and a new set of secrets around every corner. I found myself happily surprised by the main POV choice, and perfectly accepting that there didn't seem to be a romantic notion in the immediate future. The characters were well developed and we got to see multiple facets of many of them, which were both enlightening and necessary in the expansion of this world. It's refreshing and exciting to learn and follow each of these new characters, figuring out their means and motives behind every word and action they take. Carefully crafted, the first book in the Winter Court Chronicles has potential oozing out of every word on every page. I found myself absorbing every word with ease, eager to devour more and more, until there was nothing left, then griping about how I needed more, now. Stephany Wallace has a lot in store for us, I can feel it and I'm excited to see where she takes us next in the Winter Court. What an amazing and heartfelt story. It's so real, touching on emotions, stereotypes and life that people see every day. Pen and Xander is a story that brings not only two people together, but also a community. It's a story that touches on the hardships that people deal with, the real factors that make up every day life for some people. It was a well written story and easy to follow. I enjoyed the back and forth between point of views, giving us an even playing field of knowledge about and through the two main characters eyes. I hope that future books from Laekan Zea Kemp will bring us back into this community, this neighborhood and we can see what Pen, Xander and the rest of the 'family' is up to. I can happily say that I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to see what else this author has to offer!
Kimberly Loth continues to hit us where it matters most: right in the feels. She has a way of leaving us begging for more every time we finish a story. This one is no exception. The Blazing Glass picks up right where The Smoking Lamp left off. Liv and Gabe are two flawed but relatable characters, who's relationship and love story is intriguing and engaging. The Blazing Glass gives us little surprises around every corner that I wasn't expecting to see, which kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more with every page. I look forward to the next installment!
This was a good book, it had a good storyline and compelling characters. It was a little rough for me in the beginning, as it took a little while for me to get invested, but let me tell you, by the end, I wasn’t putting it down. Ms. Grey has established a community that has you questioning the movements and motives of everyone around. There are so many questions that I need answers to, but that’s not a bad thing. It keeps me anxious for her next installment, because trust me, at the end of this book, you’ll want the next installment, like yesterday.
What a ride. Power Struggle was exactly what the title suggests. Two characters, both very strong, both very stubborn and both very good at what they do, both career wise and... otherwise. Olivia and Jameson are hot and heavy both in terms of plot and for each other. It is quite amusing to watch the two go back and forth. The sex is steamy and hot, and if you love a lot of it, there's definitely enough here for you. The plot line is intriguing and easy to follow. I actually really enjoyed following the case the plot followed. That kept an added interest in addition to the romance factor. Olivia was a character that was strong, but she had her flaws, she had her secrets and her hurdles to ascend. I wish we learned a little bit more about Jameson's though. You could definitely see the power struggle between these two characters. I had a couple minor complaints, but nothing that will take away from the story itself or my enjoyment of it, but I won't share, because that would spoil it. Great job to Ms. Fieldsted, I really enjoyed your work.
This is the first book in a new series called the Sisters of Hex:
I loved every minute of this book from start to finish. I love the world the author has created and can’t wait to see what happens next. In this installment we get to meet Accacia. We learn that she has a genetic disorder making it so she can’t go in the sun and that she has spent her life looking for a cure. Throughout this book we are introduced to three “vampires” and get to follow them and Accacia through many revelations, unplanned love interests, creepy guys, and new worlds. If you are looking for a fast paced to the point, multiple hot guys, supernatural beings, and evil queens then this is the book for you! Mary Ting has created a world that you can immerse yourself in. Surrounded by a plethora of paranormal creatures, you’re taken on a whirlwind of action and adventure. The attention to detail in the book is paramount enough to imagine the action going on around you, but not so much that it drags down the pace and readability of the book. At first, I wasn’t sure about the inclusion of the astral projections into the past, but they work and fit pretty seamlessly into the story. It is important that you read The Angel Knights before picking up this adventure, as you may be confused if you don’t. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!
This book quickly brings you into the world of Kenzi and her journey into the Marked Academy. Upon entrance into the Marked Academy you have to enter the water that is from Ariziadia, when you go underwater you will then see if you possess any marks. You have to have at least one mark to enter the academy, but the more marks you possess the more powerful you are. Upon entering the water Kenzie receives 12 marks which is unheard of! This book quickly takes off from there!
This book had me all kinds of drooling. Talk about gorgeous men, steamy scenes and a to die for story line. I was hooked on every word these two wrote. Seriously. Kenzie and the men in her life, yes, men, this is a reverse harem series, which is a category I am quickly becoming a fan of, have their fair share of laughs, embarrassing moments, sexy moments and everything in between. This was certainly a page turner and I couldn’t help but be hooked on every word! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a to the point, nonstop action, keeps you guessing Reverse Harem series! Cece Rose and G. Bailey work flawlessly together. I’m getting anxious knowing that I have to wait for the second book. I really enjoyed this book from page one! I love the world that Sariah has created! This book takes us into the world of Ava. Ava has spent her life being “invisible” she has never been noticed and over looked often. Until one night she goes to a club with her best friend she meets some gorgeous guys who actually notice her!
This books takes us on Ava’s journey, we learn so much more about Ava, her ability to not be noticed. This book is fast paced, has so many twists and turns, surprises galore, and lots of steamy moments! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced, longer Reverse Harem novel! |
